The design leans into matchday atmosphere with a deep #b03333 theme color, a dark backdrop, and a semi-transparent header overlay that lets hero imagery breathe. Stretched layouts give media full width, Oswald carries the bold headlines while Roboto handles body copy, and the header sits at medium height to keep navigation compact above the action.
