Academic Demo: Included Pages & How to Customize It

Academic demo

The Academic demo turns Canvas into a clean, credibility-focused home for researchers, lecturers, and graduate students who need a personal site that reads like a CV without feeling like one. It ships with two ready-to-edit pages that cover the essentials of an academic profile: a long-form landing page and a right-to-left version for Arabic, Hebrew, or other RTL audiences. The layout uses a stretched, side-header arrangement with a dark backdrop and a warm gold theme color (#ECA92D), giving the typography and publication lists room to breathe while keeping navigation always within reach.

What's included

Page Description
demo-academic.html A full academic profile page for Pliff Jenkins that combines a hero introduction, research interests, selected publications, teaching or speaking history, and a contact section in a single scrollable layout.
demo-academic-rtl.html The same Pliff Jenkins academic profile restructured for right-to-left reading, mirroring every section from the main demo so the content works naturally in RTL languages.

The demo's own styles live in demos/academic/academic.css. Shared framework styles come from style.css and css/font-icons.css.
